Tamarind & Co. is an Indian fine dining restaurant at 1275 South River Road in Cranbury, New Jersey, where Route 130 meets South River Road, minutes from NJ Turnpike Exit 8A. We cook slow-simmered gravies, hand-pounded masalas, and breads and grills from a clay tandoor that runs through every service.
The kitchen reads as a culinary map of India. There are tandoori platters and kebabs off the clay oven, Punjabi gravies simmered rather than shortcut, dum biryani sealed and baked in its own steam, Thai noodles and coconut curries, and the Indo-Chinese dishes — chilli chicken, Hakka noodles, Sichuan fried rice — that Indian families have eaten for generations. Vegetarian and vegan tables are not an afterthought here; a large part of the menu is meat-free, and spice levels are cooked to order.
We are BYOB, with free parking outside the door.
